This is a short story that i heard and presented in my college assembly, which attracted and appreciated by many. The story goes like this...
There was a great king who is very fond of his only daughter. He is ready to give anything that she asks for. One of his friend who is equally fit in all the merits of this king is ruling the nearby kingdom. His only son and the prince of his great kingdom, rise in love with the princess of his neighbouring kingdom. Both of them loved each other.
Both the kings came to know this and they arranged for their marriage. Usually marriage will be the most grand function in everyone's life. Think of this, this is the wedding bell ringing for the prince and the princess of two great kingdom. Both the nation was filled with joy and happiness, the most rich and grand festivals in any part of the world would be just nothing before this marrige arrangemens and the ceremony.
each and everyone of both the nations were invited. The fire in the kitchen was not stopped even for minute at that month. The colorful lamps at night with entertaining dramas all over the streets of both the nation. Food is the major highlight for any function of their culture. By the time, the king has proposed the order that no one should complaint anything about the food they are served and give them everything that they asked for.
All the vessels were filled out, then thay are storing them in a big buildings. Such like, sweets were stored in a seperate building. Even if we have one small piece of sweet in a corner of a room, it will be eroded by ants'. This is a massive and huge collection of sweet in a seperate building.
The ants from many colonies started their march- towards the store room without any personal invitation. All the chefs were fully worried about the ants that might attack all the sweets. The words of their king echoed in their ears again and again. " if anything wrong happen, your heads will not be yours". Their pressure creeps up ... The get to know that a very big mass of ants are on their way towards the storage area. By the time, the cheif chef came and smiled af6ter everyone. Really the experience and cool head of the cheif relieved some pressure for others, yet they are not completly cool. They asked the cheif with tensed voice, "What to do now?, How can we save our life?" Series of question came as an arrow.
The chief, smiled and ordered them to draw a thick and dark circle of sugar all around the sweet mass. The ants came and marched faster on seeing the sweet mass. The thick line was completed well before the ants reaching its destination. When they on their way towards it, they tasted the small sugar balls and taken the sugar balls back to their colony. Everybody was happy and with great foods, the marriage ceremony completed.
Moral:
Guess???
With request of one my reader, here is the moral:
From the chefs' and the king's point of view everyone are happy. But think from the ant's point of view; initially it was marching towards the supreme happiness of reaching the mass sweet gathering, later they all got diverted by the small sugar balls and thought that it was their destiny and returned back to their colonies. By the same token, most of the times, we dream big and move towards that. But with some diversions our destiny and dream will be lost. Thus "Enjoying and getting diverted with simple pleasures makes us to loose supreme happiness"
So lets happily leave the simple pleasures to reach the supreme happiness.

Never read the story when you know the moral will be the question.
